Make a PDF smaller than 100 KB

For forms and portals that only accept PDFs up to 100 KB. The size is already set, so just add your file.

If it doesn't fit

It’s a scan or a photo of a document
Tick “Black and white”. Scans in colour are mostly wasted space, and this often halves the size.
You have several pages as separate files
Merge them into one PDF first, then compress the result here.
It still won’t fit
The form may accept more than one file. Otherwise, rescan at a lower resolution (150 dpi is plenty for documents).

How to use it

  1. Add your PDF.
  2. Pick a goal, like "Under 1 MB" if a website gave you a limit.
  3. Click Compress PDF and download the smaller file.

Questions

How do I get a PDF under 1 MB?

Choose "Under 1 MB" as the goal. We first try shrinking it without changing anything you can see. If that is not enough, we redraw the pages at a lower resolution, step by step, until it fits.

Will my PDF still look the same?

Text and images stay sharp enough to read and print at normal size. For very small goals, like under 100 KB, scanned photos may look softer.

Why can I no longer select text?

To reach a small size, pages are redrawn as images. If you need selectable text, use the "Smaller, good quality" goal, which keeps text where it can.

Is it safe for private documents?

Yes. The PDF never leaves your device, so it is suitable for bank statements, payslips, IDs and medical letters.
