Which format should I use?
JPG works everywhere and is best for photos. PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency, which suits logos and screenshots. WebP makes the smallest files for websites.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
PNG and WebP keep them. JPG can’t store transparency, so those areas become white.
Why won’t a website accept my WebP image?
Some forms and older apps only take JPG or PNG. Convert it to JPG here and try again.
